Site Management

Accessing the Site Administrator Management Interface

A Site Administrator can add or remove a site user, manage disk space, back up and restore files and perform other virtual-site-related administrative tasks.

A Site Administrator can manage a virtual site via most standard and latest browser (eg. IE, Firefox, Chrome).    To access the management interface a site, follow these steps. Connect to 

  1. http://yourdomain:8443 or 
  2. https://yourdomain:8443 or 
  3. https://server_ip:8443 
  4. (remember to replace "yourdomain" or "server_ip" with your own domain name)

You may see a security alert.  Answer "Yes" to accept SSL connection.  You should then see the login screen.

Enter your domain name and password to access.

The Site Administrator login and password must be entered.  If the domain name has not yet propagated, you can only access the control panel by server_ip (see here).

One you have logged in, you will see 

 

After you have successfully logged on to the system, you will see the above management interface.

  1. You will see several buttons configuration. 
  2. You will also see the allowed resources and the consumption.  


Manual Backup

We provide scheduled backup for mass recover on server failure.  However, backup can fail and customers  are advised to self backup frequently for own protection. 

Webpage Backup - You should already have the latest copy of your files in you local computer.  If you have dynamic data (eg. web storage), you can download via FTP for backup.  Database can be export via WebAdmin at the database management section.

Email Message Backup - Do download emails frequently using email software (eg. Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird).
